What to name your boat?

There is a rumor though that a famous reporter had a boat named "Assignment" so that his secretary could truthfully deflect calls with the excuse "He's on Assignment".

Here are some of my other favorite boat names from around the world. These people rebelled against boring boat names and said proudly: "Frigate about it!".

Unsinkable II made my day

I couldn't find the ship with the name SHIPFACED, but according to legend and lore it sank when the coast guard refused to take its distress call seriously.

Here's a true story:

A fellow had a wife named Victoria, so he decided to name his boat Victoria's Secret. Which was fine, until he found out that Victoria did, indeed, have a secret.

He renamed the vessel Providence.
