For anyone who wonders what "NERF" stands for: it is used in video games when speaking of downgrading somethings/someones powers for balance purposes. (It's also a name for guns shooting foamy projectiles, but I am quite sure they aren't talking about those.)

    Actually, they are talking about the NERF guns. It's exactly what it sounds like: Take the main weapon away and give it a NERF weapon instead.
