The Making Of
Script by Lorenz Lammens
PAGE 4
Panel 1
The Time Traveller looks surprised at his absent reflection in the window behind him (see suggested pose to the left - suit is not correct: White globes form around his body suit that are part of some futuristic device. The white globes do not extend to his coat). The dark of night ensures that his reflection is fairly clear in the window behind him. Beyond the window we see the lights of the city.
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Just once I wish the technology I summon would come with a manual. How do I…
Panel 2
He looks at his reflection in the window and notices only his coat is mirrored on the glass. He himself is invisible.
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Oh… It's an invisibility cloak of some sort…
Panel 3
We see the man's coat on the floor (IMPORTANT, the left behind coat is a story device in future issues) and a door on top of the stairs being opened by his invisible self, shown to us as an outlined man.
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Must hurry…
Panel 4
We see the outlines of the Time Traveller pushing a door open. He is invisible to everyone else.
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Room 303. Did I make it in time?
Panel 5
The invisible man witnesses from the back of the room a woman giving birth to a baby. The baby is pulled from the womb by a female doctor.
In this panel we have the doctor on the left (show face), the baby, Catherine to the right (show face, she is exhausted but elated, young, long hair, Japanese, beautiful, energetic, a fighter, composed and organized) - we should see details of the hospital room in the back (see example1 and example 2). In the back, to the left coming in through the door is the Time Traveller, who goes unnoticed by the nurses in the back on the right.
DOCTOR (Female):
It's a boy!
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Yes! I did!
Panel 6
The invisible man lets a small futuristic techno pocket knife drop from his sleeves. It has strange markings on the surface that remind us of a computer chip (example) and it flares up with electricity, this is the element that allows the knife to cut. The knife should look a little threatening, making the audience wonder if he travelled through time to assassinate the baby (which of course he won’t).
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Time to do my bit.
