If George RR Martin Had Created Star Trek
Here are some safe assumptions we'd be able to make:
- Sulu and Chekhov would've gotten it on.
- There would have been siblings on board.
- Kirk would die half-way through season one, Spock dies at the end of the season, Checkov becomes captain even though Sulu outranked Checkov, Sulu starts plotting Checkov's death.
- Heroes from all other races would be heavily featured in the series as they all struggle to control the 7 races.
- The Iron Throne would have been much more comfortable to sit on.
- For some reason, the crew would often walk around nude.
Fun Facts
It makes me wonder what fans of the original series thought upon seeing Captain Picard's red uniform on the first airing of The Next Generation. "Oh no! Half of the bridge crew is going to die!"In the TOS episode Mirror, Mirror Spock had a goatee and everyone was trying to kill each other in an alternate universe. It was the Star Trek episode that most closely resembled the world of Game Of Thrones.
The actor from "The Most Interesting Man In The World" commercials played a red shirt on the episode with the most kills throughout the entire series. YET HIS CHARACTER STILL SURVIVED.
Jonathan Goldsmith, who plays the beer company's Most Interesting Man in the World, appeared in the episode of the original Star Trek series, "The Corbomite Maneuver."
