The Making Of
Script by Lorenz Lammens
PAGE 7
Panel 1
The man falls to the ground, the two security officers behind him look in horror at him from the window (see example to the right of falling man with a window where the cops could be looking from behind him).
The Time Traveller’s right hand is glowing as he summons a new technology.
OFFICER 2 (exclamation):
You fool!
OFFICER 1:
Christ! He’s a dead man!
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!
Panel 2
A glowing harness builds around the man as he falls towards the ground (it is like a very thin and lightweight exoskeleton that is mounted on the back, that creates an electromagnetic field that flares up in the night and suspends gravity. Booster rockets at the feet and small steering rockets at either wrist allow the passenger to fly.
Panel 3
He escapes death narrowly as the glowing anti-gravity glider lifts him back up, inches before he would have splattered across the pavement.
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Ungh. That was… Too close!
Panel 4
The man floats above the city of Austin, supported by the glowing futuristic anti-gravity glider.
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Never seen the city from this angle before. It's beautiful.
Panel 5
The anti-gravity suit disappears (Future is actually not as high as in the panel on the right, remember, he will fall in a tree and survive. Still, if we could have the city in the background it would give a sense of height).
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Glider’s gone!
The future timeline where my suit came from just collapsed!
Panel 6
The man falls as he stretches out his glowing hand in panic. (This panel could just be a close up of his hand and face with a sense of depth behind him - at this point he is floating above a park with trees at a height that he could survive. The tree branches will take away a lot of his speed before final impact and the suit will protect him against the worst of the brunt.)
TIME TRAVELLER (thought):
Entire worlds are disappearing.
I can't summon a thing.
