The Making Of
Script
PAGE 24
Panel 1
Her body slips lower onto the poker that now fully punctures her chest. Stanley’s torso rests on the poker, above the punctured bodies of Dolores and her husband beneath her.
CAPTION
Christ, shot in the stomach. Worst way to go. Too weak to even move off this poker.
Panel 2
CAPTION
The pain...no, I need a distraction. Must concentrate on the murders of all ages. Finally, my gift is a blessing.
Panel 3
The murderer from the first scene (see first pages of this comic) walks toward him, grinning.
MURDERER GHOST
So you’ve come to join us, Stanley Gruber.
Panel 4
MURDERER GHOST
Ever since you were born, we were all sent back here, trapped on Earth, to relive our crimes over and over again.
Panel 5
MURDERER GHOST
Now, with your death, we’ll be released from this perpetual reliving of our crimes and go back to rest in hell.
Layouts
Notes:
Panel 1 - now the tip of the poke can protrude from his back, bringing a blood stain in its wake. In other words, the poke is protruding too much in current layout.
Panel 3 (the one where we see the ghost of the murderer from page 1-5 for the first time must be creepy. Have him grin and hunch in a creepy way.
Roughs
Notes:
One question: are the clothes the dead guy is wearing on page 24 referencing his clothes when his was killed in the first few pages? Are his wounds consistent with the shot through the neck? Best to keep that ghostly image as true to the former living body of the victim to help the audience understand the correlation between the two.
