Funny. But there's no movement upward with the Star Trek transporter. You dematerialize in one location and rematerialize in another. Technically, Kirk wouldn't be communicating by writing on the wall either. But it is funny.
I've always been fascinated about the amount of dudes walking around with sharpies in their pockets ready to unleash their wit as they unleash their waste. It's an american pastime where males in the same location but in different times bond.
