Innovative panel layouts recap a long history

This is probably one of the most innovative comic book catch ups I've seen in a while: from the pages of Hack / Slash: Son of Samhain #1, a simple two-page spread showing the words “Hack Slash.” Inside the word? Images without a single piece of text, recapping Cassie's history up until now: in front of Vlad's gravestone, cutting ties with loved ones, and eventually becoming a bounty hunter.

A brilliant, imaginative innovation on telling a story through layouts by artist Emilio Laiso, with writers Sean K. Dove and Michael Moreci.
