The Beast towers over the Time Traveler.

BEAST:
Your gift is precious to me, Future. Join me so that your family may live.

TIME TRAVELLER:
Never.

SKULL MAN:
Father!? Don’t doom us too!

Panel 2

BEAST:
Your deaths will not please me.

TIME TRAVELLER:
I cannot aid you. I am here to kill you.

Panel 3
The beast kills Skull Man and Catherine with one slash of his claws.

SKULL MAN
Father! Why?

TIME TRAVELLER:
Oh God! Oh God, no…

Panel 4
The giant claws of the creature caress Future’s head, leaving blood marks with every pass.

BEAST:
Your wife’s last thoughts were of her lover. How much he did for her. How she’d wasted so much time with you. How she wished she had been young when she met him.

Panel 5
His claws stroke Future’s torso.

BEAST:
Your boy saw her lover in his mind’s eye, looked up to him as to a father. He wished he could be brave and noble like him.
